Meet the Herd

Every bovine here has their own story! Read about them below.

Hamish

DOB 10/26/2022

Ham was one of the first cattle to arrive to our farm. He is a mini Highland and came to us from Nebraska as a bottle baby in December 2022. He loves to eat and will always take snacks. He has an underbite, so his bottom teeth are always sticking out and we love that about him. He has an ornery personality and is terrified of ropes, spray bottles, and anything resembling a syringe (but we don’t blame him).

Effie

DOB 11/25/2024

“Effie the heifie” came to us quickly in September 2025 to become Ham’s new companion after we suddenly lost his brother. She is a mini Highland/mini Hereford cross and was born in Kentucky. She is a sweetheart, but a little shy. We hope to have Effie’s first baby on the farm in 2027.
